From uniform to uncharted: my becoming.

I spent 38 years in the Navy. Thirty-eight years of knowing exactly who I was, what was expected of me, and what came next. Then I retired — and for the first time in my adult life, nobody told me who to be. The uniform came off, but the identity didn't. That's the part nobody warns you about. I went from leading sailors to wondering what my purpose was at 6am on a Tuesday. So I did what I'd always done: I got to work. I rebuilt my body through fitness. I rebuilt my days through discipline. And slowly, I rebuilt myself — not by finding some hidden version of me, but by deciding, deliberately, who I wanted to become next. That's what Your Future Identity is. Not motivation. Not affirmations. A practice — see the person you're becoming, feel what it's like to be her, and then act like her, one day at a time. I built the thing I needed when I was standing between uniforms. Now it's yours too. See it. Feel it. Become it. — Diana
